Village Sensation supplies decorative potted plants for public and semi-public locations in Scandinavia. Colourful summer planting and evergreen winter planting, on a lease basis. Cultivation, delivery, placement, maintenance and seasonal changeover are part of a single concept.
We have been working since 2007 with organisations in Sweden and Denmark that wish to enhance their location. Some lack in-house plant expertise or maintenance capacity, while others use our services to complement their own efforts. Our customers include local authorities, shopping centres, amusement parks, hotels, airports, business parks, property companies and city marketing organisations.
We begin by discussing your location, objectives and seasonal preferences. The planting is grown in our own nursery, delivered and placed by our own staff, and maintained throughout the season. At the end of the season we collect the planting and install the arrangement for the next season. The customer is not required to organise a separate nursery, maintenance team or logistics.
We recommend getting in touch well before the start of the season, so there is sufficient time for advice, cultivating the plants and planning the placement. That said, last-minute requests are very much welcome too. Thanks to our extensive stock, we can accommodate late orders and find a suitable solution for your location even late in the season.
Damage and vandalism are part of the public realm. Our products are built to be resilient, whether it comes to harsh weather or the occasional knock or act of vandalism. Our materials are insured against vandalism, and damaged plants are replaced during the regular maintenance round. A separate budget for incidents is therefore not required.
We are active in the Scandinavian market, with a focus on Sweden and Denmark. The planting is partly cultivated in the Netherlands and partly at our nursery in Sweden, from where we deliver to locations across the region.
Customers can choose to handle maintenance themselves, but many prefer to outsource it to us. We offer several maintenance levels and determine together with the customer which level best suits the location and the desired result. Maintenance includes watering, feeding, cleaning of the containers and pruning.
Our plants are used for multiple years and are overwintered between seasons, which limits the use of materials and plant waste. Plant waste is composted and reused. For biodiversity we select species that support bees, butterflies and other insects. Planting in urban areas also captures particulate matter, produces oxygen and helps with cooling during warm summers. Cradle-to-cradle is the principle behind all the materials we use.
